Belmont To Host Spring Art Party In Conjunction With Gallery Night, Friday, March 17
PENSACOLA, Fla.- In conjunction with Gallery Night, the Belmont Arts Center will host a Spring Art Party on March 17 from 5 to 9 p.m. complete with music, interactive glass and raku exhibits and live art demonstrations.
Attendees will have an opportunity to design their own clay tile with textures and stamps and glaze their own pottery with Raku glazes while watching the heat of fire create unique colors. The cost is $5 per tile and $15 per Raku piece.
Resident glass artist Joe Hobbs will also be on-hand assisting children and adults with the creation of their very own hand-blown glass ornament or paperweight. The cost is $30 per glass piece made.
The event, held at the Belmont, 401 North Reus St., located inside the window factory in downtown Pensacola, will also include tours of the center, live glass blowing and glass bead making demonstrations and performances by the Belmont Youth Band, Pendleton Jazz Trio, Sojourn Dance Troupe and Read My Hips Belly Dance Troupe.
The Belmont is encouraging those interested in art to hop on the Gallery Night trolley or park at the Belmont and participate in this fun and interactive event.
